We welcome four-string banjo players at all levels to try out. Lead players normally pluck the melody single-string. Chord (or rhythm) players need to know basic chord patterns for starters. A conducted group; free-style playing is reserved for solos. The TBB would assist you in obtaining a tutor if requested.

Rehearsals are in the school Staff Room. The Staff Room can be accessed from the south parking lot via the southern set of school doors. The Staff Room is to the right along the main floor hall. Bring music stands as they are not provided.

Saturday, February 11, 2017: Rexdale Presbyterian Church - Highway Terrace Seniors, 2314 Islington Ave., Etobicoke, Ontario M9W 5W9.  Valentine's Day celebration. Time: 7:00 to 9:15 pm. (2 sets-20 minute break between sets).

Saturday, March 4, 2017: Fidelity Chapter of the Eastern Star, 1100 Millwood Road (almost on the corner of Overlea Blvd. and Millwood Road), East York (Leaside/Toronto), Ontario. Time: Setup prior to lunch, so arrive by 1:00 pm to 1:15 pm. Entrance music and O Canada at 1:45 pm, then lunch, then our show from around 2:30 pm. One set for one hour and fifteen minutes.

Tuesday, April 25, 2017: Burlington Bapist Church, 2225 New St., Burlington, Ontario, L7R 1J2. Afternoon luncheon and entertainment in the church sanctuary. Time: Lunch at 12:00 p.m. including TBB members. Show begins immediately after lunch (approx. 12:45 p.m.). One set lasting from one hour to one and a quarter hours.

Thursday, April 27 through Saturday, April 29, 2017: North American International Banjo Convention, Dearborn, Michigan at the Double Tree Hotel.

Monday, May 15, 2017: 150th Anniversary for CIBC and Canada. 1 City Centre Dr., Mississauga, Ontario, L5B 1M2. (Adjacent to Square One Shopping Mall on the east side of the Mall at the CIBC offices). Food and drink available for TBB members. Time: 11AM to 1:30PM, 3 sets of 45 minutes each with intervening 15 minute breaks.

Saturday, June 10, 2017: The Yonge-Lawrence Village BIA, Village Day. At our old spot at the Scotiabank, 3169 Yonge Street, Toronto, Ontario, M4N 2K9. Back to Summer Uniforms starting with this gig. Time: 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Performance: 3 sets of 45 minutes each.

Friday, June 30, 2017: Parkview Village, 12184 Ninth Line, Stouffville, Ontario, L4A 3N6. Time: 1:30 pm. One set for one hour to one hour and fifteen minutes.

Sunday, August 13, 2017: Sunnybrook Veterans' Luncheon, Aurora Legion, 89 Industrial Parkway North, Aurora, ON L4G 4C4. Time: 11:30 a.m. (dependent upon bag pipe band's timing - the TBB may play prior to the bag pipe band playing while the veterans are brought into the main hall). Number of sets - likely two. Length of each set - varied. (Note: lunch will be served between sets).
